About Moi Bonjour! I’m Laetitia. I grew up in Paris and came to Washington to get my masters at The George Washington University. That was back in the glorious “freedom fries” days. I didn’t hold it against Republicans… and I even married one, so now I’m still here. I live in downtown Washington with my American husband and our adopted fur baby Chloé. I don’t get to go back to France nearly as often as I would like so I seek out all things French in Paris on the Potomac (who came up with that nickname anyway?) and i write about them on this blog. OK, I blog about other things too, like food, travel, and food. Yeah food. Oh, and I should mention, I first came to the US as an exchange student and I lived in Memphis, TN then. I also spent four years in Montréal, Canada so my English is all sorts of confused. I still spell color colour, have a hard time pronouncing Hs and THs, and drop the occasional y’alls and ehs at the end of my sentences. I devour macarons, poutine and Po’ Boys (my husband is from Louisiana). I cheer for les bleus and the Canadiens (sorry Redskins… I just can’t seem to get into American football). I drink Molson, pastis and American craft beer… it can get confusing, I guess I’m just another expat with nationality ADD 😉 I do hope you’ll join me for a bit of my journey here in the States.
