I don’t think we have peeps in France but I’ve come to look forward to them every Easter now that I live in D.C. Not because I think they taste good, they’re actually really gross. But because I love the annual Peeps diorama contest in the Washington Post. This year’s winner, “Peeps Mourn Their Peeps: Twinkie, Rest in Peeps” is quite clever and funny but my favourite has a French connection, bien sur. My favourite this year. It’s finalist Mark Rivetti’s “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of Grande Peep.”

I love how Mark kept the Seurat’s pointillism going in the water and in the trees. Which was your favourite diorama this year?
