Paris of course, where I grew up. Montreal where I went to college. And Washington, D.C. where I live now. One thing they have in common: all have buildings designed by I.M. Pei. In Montreal, he designed the Place Ville-Marie which is perhaps best known for its underground, the nexus of the underground city. In Washington, D.C. he is responsible for the east Wing of the National Gallery of Arts. And of course he is also responsible for the new pyramid outside the Louvre museum in Paris.
Joyeux Anniversaire I.M. Pei
Join me in wishing this great architect a happy 95th birthday!
