On October 9, 1888, the Washington Monument officially opened to the general public. It's Bring Your Own Matt on the National Mall this Saturday. For the fifth year Lululemon Athletica is organizing a Cherry Blossom Yoga session at the foot of the Washington Monument. Whether there will actually be cherry blossoms remains to be seen (peak bloom is supposed to occur between April 8 and 12, but we also got some slushy flurries over the weekend) but hopefully it will be warm enough for some outdoor downward facing dogs.
